Hongway International obtained the C-TPAT U.S. Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism certification in 2024.
C-TPAT (Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism) is a voluntary cooperation program promoted by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) after the 9/11 incident in 2001 to strengthen supply chain security and prevent terrorist activities. It encourages cooperation with U.S. importers, transporters, manufacturers and other trading partners to jointly establish security standards to ensure the safety of goods from production sites to U.S. ports and reduce the risk of terrorist infiltration.
In short, C-TPAT is a supply chain security program jointly promoted by the U.S. CBP and trading partners to enhance the security of U.S. imported goods and reduce the threat of terrorism through cooperation.
